How long are the waiting times?

The practice opened on January 5, 2026, and we are currently accepting new patients. We will communicate any changes here on the website or by telephone. 

What is the best way to register?

By phone or via the online form. We will then call you back to arrange an appointment.

What documents do we need for the initial consultation?

Health insurance card, child health record (German: "U-Heft"), previous findings/doctor's reports, school reports or assessments (if relevant). If custody is shared, the consent of both parents is required.

What is a child and adolescent psychiatrist?

A child and adolescent psychiatrist is a doctor who helps children and adolescents with emotional problems, for example, if they are sad, anxious, or angry, or if they have problems at school or in the family. The training includes specialist training and psychotherapeutic training after medical studies.

Confidentiality

All information that you provide to us is subject to medical confidentiality. This means that we are not allowed to pass on any information to third parties without your express consent.

We are only exempt from confidentiality in cases where we see a danger to our patients (danger to themselves or others).

Does the practice work with the school and/or the youth welfare office?

Yes – but only with your consent. The goal is to make measures suitable for everyday use (e.g. support, compensation for disadvantages).

Do you offer psychotherapy?

We are a social psychiatric practice and offer diagnostics, counseling, coordination, supportive individual contacts/bridging and appointments in the sense of social psychiatric care – we do not offer long-term individual psychotherapy (weekly guideline therapy).

Are there group sessions available?

Yes, we would like to offer various groups in the future.

Medication – yes or no?

A decision regarding medication is carefully considered and explained transparently. We decide together with you. Follow-up checks then take place regularly in the practice to discuss the effectiveness and tolerability.
