I am Dr. Antje Koulechov and I am a child psychiatrist. My professional career began in pediatrics, where I cared for children with physical illnesses (such as asthma or obesity). What does a child psychologist do in our practice? They carry out differentiated examinations, such as intelligence tests, concentration tests, or diagnostics in cases of suspected dyscalculia or reading and spelling disorders (dyslexia or LRS). Above all, however, they provide therapeutic support to children, e.g., using behavioral therapy approaches, helping them to talk about their worries, and working together to develop solutions for everyday life.
